University Marketing and Communications recognizes the best uses of social media on the Illinois State campus through the annual #RedbirdProud Social Media Awards. The program honors faculty and staff who manage social media accounts for the University.
The awards recognize outstanding social media efforts during both the fall and spring semesters. Nominations (including self-nominations) are accepted in five categories:
Best overall use of social media (academic unit)
Best overall use of social media (non-academic unit)
Most innovative use of social media
Most improved social media (any unit)
Best new social media account (created within past year)
