Redbird Proud

The Redbird Proud Committee is comprised of community businesses, organizations, and individuals that work in concert with Illinois State University departments to inform, engage, and enrich the Bloomington-Normal community for the benefit of its citizens and the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Illinois State University.

Wear Red on Fridays

There’s a simple way for you, your family, friends, and coworkers to show they are Redbird Proud—in fact you may already be doing it. Wear Red on Fridays. This campus tradition is a great way to show your pride in Illinois State as a community member. Encourage others to do the same. Consider making Fridays "Wear Red Day" at your place of business.

Wear Red on Fridays at your business!

Businesses or organizations with existing sponsorship agreements with Illinois State Athletics or other University units may produce co-branded apparel for use by their employees provided:

  • The apparel is produced by a company licensed to produce such products.
  • The apparel meets University graphic design standards for products.
  • The apparel is for business/group staff or members and their family/friends only and is not made available for resale
  • The design is approved by University Marketing Communications (licensed vendors communicate design proofs to UMC as a matter of course during production).

Businesses or organizations which do not have existing sponsorship agreements with Illinois State Athletics or other University units may produce co-branded attire provided:

  • Written permission is obtained from both Athletics and University Marketing/Communications. Please contact a Redbird Proud committee member, who will be happy to facilitate your request.
  • The apparel is produced by a company licensed to produce such products.
  • The apparel meets University graphic design standards for products.
  • The apparel is for business/group staff or members and their family/friends only and is not made available for resale
  • The design is approved by University Marketing Communications (licensed vendors communicate design proofs to UMC as a matter of course during production).
